Quartz countertops are the perfect blend of science and nature. It has the rich appearance of natural stone but without the upkeep. The blend of natural quartz and polymer is what makes quartz countertops non-porous, resistant to stains and scratches, and denser than other stone countertops. Unlike many other countertop materials, quartz kitchen countertops do not have to be sealed thus making them nearly maintenance free. Simply clean the countertop with warm soap and water! It will not absorb harmful bacteria and will not require regular sealing with messy chemicals.  Quartz countertops can also span large overhangs up to 12 inches without requiring the use of supports. This means you do not have to worry about banging your knees into corbels or legs underneath your island.
